The Thoroughbred 10U baseball team recently delivered a thrilling performance, during a dramatic turn of events, the team secured a walk-off victory by scoring two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. Alec Hacker emerged as the hero of the game, smashing a clutch 2-run double that brought Henry Ashcraft and Filip Kawa across home plate, sealing the triumphant moment. The celebration on the field epitomized the team’s fighting spirit and determination.
However, despite their valiant efforts, the journey to the championship concluded in the semi-finals. The loss was a bittersweet moment for the team, who had showcased incredible grit and talent throughout the tournament.

Although their run ended in the semifinals, their performance was nothing short of impressive, showcasing resilience and skill development on the big field.

Central to the 13U team's success in the tournament were the remarkable pitching contributions from Jaren Rodriguez and Dylan Jacobson. Both players stepped up, delivering exceptional performances on the mound that kept their team competitive throughout the tournament. Thoroughbred 14U delivered another electrifying performance to claim victory at the Future Stars Tournament held at Penn State University. The team improved their impressive season record to 32-6-1 with their latest triumph, showcasing their resilience and determination in a high-stakes competition.
In the semi-finals, Thoroughbred 14U found themselves in a tense battle, trailing 3-2 in the 7th inning. With their championship hopes hanging by a thread, Shane Balum kickstarted the rally by drawing a crucial two-out walk. JT Fleming followed, bravely taking a hit-by-pitch to reach base. Then came the defining moment of the game: with two outs and a count of two strikes, and despite having yet to record a hit in the tournament, Joey Latawiec delivered under pressure with a clutch base hit, driving in Balum to tie the score.
Christian McAnulla added his name to the list of heroes with a single that brought in Fleming and Latawiec, giving Thoroughbred a 5-3 lead. In the bottom of the 7th, McAnulla took the mound and showcased his composure, securing two quick outs on just two pitches before striking out the final batter to seal their hard-fought victory.
